Child Welfare Information Gateway
Child Welfare Information Gateway covers many topic areas, such as child abuse prevention, family preservation, foster care, domestic and inter-country adoption and more. The gateway consists of print and electronic publications, websites, and online databases with detailed information about programs, research reports, statistics, laws, government policy, training resources and resources on evidence-based practice and program evaluation. The database will be useful to researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and administrators working to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect, and to provide out-of-home placement and permanency planning services. There are more than 50,000 records of full-text electronic items and abstracts. This site is an extension of the National Adoption Information Clearinghouse and the National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information.
