Located at the Laurier Library, the WLU Press is one of Canada’s leading scholarly publishing houses, publishing 30-35 titles a year, and with over 700 titles in print, aimed at transforming processes, minds and cultures.

The Library is a key partner in scholarly enterprise. One way that is supported is through our scholarly communication initiatives. These cover a wide variety of activities, including maintaining an institutional repository, working with publishers, supporting open access (OA), providing author processing charge (APC) discounts, and more.

The Laurier Library provides research data services to help investigators improve their research data practices and meet their grant-based obligations. These include data management planning, consultation and training, data curation services, and publication in our data repository, Borealis.

The Laurier Archives and Special Collections holds the Library's research collection of primary documents, and is the repository of historic records of the University. The collections focus on the Lutheran Church in the community; the environmental conservation movement in Canada; the history of Kitchener-Waterloo; and the history of Wilfrid Laurier University.
