Overview
The Social Work Library is located on the lower level of the Lyle S. Hallman Faculty of Social Work building in Kitchener. It supports research activity in areas of Social Work practice and policy.
- The Library is open during building hours.
- A OneCard with Kitchener access is required to enter.
- Library staff are available on specific days to provide assistance and check out books.
- Fall 2025 term: Thursdays and Fridays from 10 am - 1:30 pm.
- Spring 2025 term: Fridays from 10 am - 1:30 pm.

Public Transit
The Social Work Library is located two blocks from the Grand River Transit terminal at 15 Charles Street West (Charles Street Terminal). It is accessible by foot, or by a number of bus routes departing from the terminal. Please visit the Grand River Transit website for schedules and route information.
Parking
Students
Students at the Faculty of Social Work in Kitchener may purchase permits through Laurier to park at the City of Kitchener parking garage at Charles and Benton Streets. The parking permits will be honoured at the Waterloo campus in the white permit areas only at no additional cost. See Parking Permits: Kitchener for information about how to apply.
Accessible Parking
Students who require accessible parking must contact the Accessible Learning Centre. There are two designated accessible parking spaces at the College street lot (Social Work campus) for visitors or temporary parking. The College Street entrance is wheelchair accessible.
