Registration required: Registration on the WRDS site is required for access. To request an account, press the "Connect to Database" button. From the WRDS homepage, click “Register” at the top to create an account. Once your account has been approved, you will still need to access WRDS through the library link first, and then log in using your WRDS username and password.
Multi-factor authentication required: Two factor authentication has been required for access since December 2022.
The Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) interface is for robust financial and accounting research. WRDS includes databases such as: COMPUSTAT, CRSP, Dow Jones Averages, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Penn World Tables, Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX), and Thomson-Reuters Institutional Holdings (13F).
This platform allowed for two-factor authentication in November 2022 and required it in December 2022.
