EIKON and Datastream
How to Access: EIKON can be accessed remotely either through the Web or EIKON Desktop installed on computers (windows system is required). Datastream can be accessed remotely through Excel Addin on Eikon Desktop or Windows Virtual Desktop. To use EIKON or Datastream, you need to book an ID. There are a number of logins for booking. Check available booking time, send an email to business librarians to confirm the time, and obtain User ID and password. Eikon is provided by Refinitiv for financial professionals to monitor and analyze financial information. It provides access to real time market data, news, fundamental data, analytics, trading and messaging tools. Datastream includes millions of data sets from both developed and emerging markets with over 25 years of history for major developed markets. Key data sets include equities, market indices, bonds, warrants, unit trusts and commodities. Company accounts are available for some 12,000 companies. Also provides access to over 200,000 international macroeconomic time series for around 175 countries (includes IMF and OECD data).
