The database was launched in 2004 and is maintained by the United States National Library of Medicine’s (NLM) National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) under the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Records here are sourced internationally from government agencies, journal publishers and chemical vendors.Content can be searched by chemical name, molecular formula, chemical structure, and other identifiers such as CAS registry number, SMILES and InChI codes.Laurier Library added this free resource to our collection in March 2023.
