This resource contains digitized images of the original medieval manuscripts of five family letter collections (Paston, Cely, Plumpton, Stonor and Armburgh) along with full text searchable transcripts from the printed editions, where they are available.It also includes many additional features useful for teaching and research such as a chronology, a visual sources gallery, an interactive map, a glossary, family trees and links to other scholarly free to access digital resources useful for researching the medieval period. There is a basic keyword search as well as an advanced search that allows keyword or title keyword searching with Boolean connectors (AND, OR, and NOT), date range limiter, and limiting by document type. Images and transcriptions can be viewed side by side or individually. You may also browse by family collection, reference number, title, and date. Laurier Library has provided access to this product since April 2016.
