The world's first fully illustrated weekly newspaper, The Illustrated London News, was first published on Saturday, May 14, 1842, and its first colour supplement was in 1855, also a world first. Through this Gale product, Laurier Library provides access to all content from The Illustrated London News from its birth in 1842 until it ceased publication in 2003, including specials and supplements.
