This resource provides digital access to more than a hundred thousand literary and historical works as they appeared in their original printed editions. It contains images of works by such authors as Malory, Spenser, Bacon, More, Erasmus, Boyle, Newton, and Galileo. It also includes musical exercises by Henry Purcell, novels by Aphra Behn, and prayer books, pamphlets, proclamations, almanacs, calendars, and many other primary resources. It contains most, though not all, of the titles in the English Short Title Catalogue. Being on the ProQuest platform, search and browse functions are the same as the others on the platform. Laurier Library has provided access to this resource since before 2012. In 2020, it moved from the Chadwyck-Healey platform to ProQuest.
