The Library has an extensive collection of videos (streaming and physical), including feature films and documentaries. Use the information below to find, watch, and request videos.

Finding videos

The majority of the Library’s video collection can be found by searching Omni. After your search, limit the results to “Video” resource type. For help in finding videos, please contact your subject librarian.

Watching videos 

Streaming videos will normally play within your browser. To view a physical video, please visit our Media Viewing and Listening page for information on video equipment available at each Library location.

Physical videos may be borrowed with the following criteria:

Students

  • Videos for Film Studies and Music may be borrowed for three hours for in-library use
  • Other videos: three day loan

Faculty

  • Videos with performance rights may be borrowed for one week
  • Videos marked "For Private Study Only" may be borrowed for one day

Charges for overdue, lost and damaged videos:

  • Overdues: $5 a day, to a maximum of $50
  • Lost items: $300 replacement fee. Items are listed as lost after 60 days
  • Fees for damaged items will be assessed at the time of return
