Resource Overview
Platform: Proquest
Link to Resource
Indirect access: Though no longer included in the list of databases on the ProQuest platform, this index can be searched alone through the "Environmental Science Index" with "Water Resources Abstracts content only" selected.
The resource is an index to technical and scientific literature on water-related topics including conservation, pollution, use, etc. of water resources. Originally known as "Selected Water Resources Abstracts" when created by the United States Geological Survey, it was then managed by Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA) and then ProQuest.
As with other ProQuest databases, it can be searched by simple keyword or using multiple fields (such as document title, author, and subject heading) and limiters (such as source type, document type, and language) in the Advanced Search.
Laurier Library has subscribed to this for several years as a part of a changing collection of resources, as of 2024 it has become solely searchable only through the Environmental Science Index.
