What's New at the Library

Exhibition dates and opening reception for Traces + Echoes: Between Places, a collaborative video and sound installation by Toronto-based artists Michelle Breslin and Barbara Greczny 

Laurier Library has a new Course Resources platform which replaces the old Ares system that many of you are familiar with. The new platform is fully integrated with Omni and My Learning Space for easy access to library materials.

The 6th floor of the Laurier Library Waterloo is getting new carpet and will be closed starting Wednesday, July 29th for approximately 4 weeks. 

On Saturday, July 25th between 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., there will be intermittent outages to the services listed below as ICT carries out a disaster recovery exercise. Omni, room booking, course resources, and off-campus access may be inaccessible during this time.

Phase 2 of Laurier Library Brantford is beginning on Tuesday, July 7th with planned completion by the end of the summer.

Two important updates to existing library resources as of May 2026.

Starting with the Spring 2026 semester, Laurier Library is moving to a new Course Resources platform to replace ARES.

From Saturday March 14, 2026, 7:00 am to Sunday March 15, 7:00am, access to the Waterloo campus library will require tapping your OneCard on the bollard to access the library.

The Art exhibition, Haptic Voices, is open until April 4th. The exhibition is presented in collaboration with artists David Bobier and Jim Ruxton from VibraFusionLab, an arts-based public studio from Hamilton, Ontario, renowned for its innovative exploration of multi-sensory artistic experiences.
