The Cord Collection
The Cord is celebrating its 100th anniversary in September 2026. To mark this important milestone in the history of this campus newspaper, Laurier Archives and Special Collections is launching a new finding aid featuring downloadable PDF files of each issue.
Lutheran Church in America - Central Canada Synod fonds
The Central Canada Synod (CCS) was established in 1962 as one of three Canadian synods of the Lutheran Church in America. Congregations of the CCS were located in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Northwestern Ontario. In 1985, the three Canadian synods withdrew from the Lutheran Church in America to join the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.
Records in the collection document the administration and activities of the CCS including minutes, correspondence, photographs, publications, and other materials.
Wilfrid Laurier University Press Fonds
The Wilfrid Laurier University Press was founded in 1974 and began under the direction of former Laurier faculty member Norman Wagner. WLU Press has built a reputation as a leading publisher of scholarly books in the social sciences and humanities, defined by a spirit of creativity and technological innovation.
Records in the collection include production files, promotional material, editorial files, and financial records spanning over 50 years.
Selected Poems from the Pen of the Honourable Morrison Mann MacBride
Morrison Mann MacBride (1877-1938) was Mayor of Brantford, MPP for Brant South and Brantford, and Minister of Labour for Ontario. This volume was published by MacBride's son following his death in 1938. It contains 77 poems which primarily focus on everyday topics and contemporary affairs.
