IWA Publishing : Books and Journals

As the publishing arm of the International Water Association (IWA), IWA Publishing acts as the primary global engine for water-related intelligence. Its mission transcends traditional academic publishing, aiming to foster a water-wise world by bridging the gap between high-level scientific research and the practical needs of utility managers, engineers, and policymakers in over 140 countries.

As an information resource, the platform is a comprehensive digital hub for the entire water cycle. It provides critical data on global health, sanitation, and climate resilience through a suite of high-impact journals and a library of over 800 eBooks. 

A cornerstone of their mission is equitable access. By aggressively championing Open Access (OA), IWA Publishing ensures that vital environmental data and sanitation breakthroughs are available to researchers and practitioners in water-stressed or low-income regions without financial barriers.

In 2015, Laurier Library gained access to 800+ e-books, complementing its existing subscription to 14 journals; both collections are predominantly open access.
