Originally drawing on "The Dictionary of Art" published in 1996, and based on the 2007 print version, this product is a valuable reference resource for the visual arts of the Classical period, from Cycladic, Minoan, Helladic, and Etruscan art to the fall of the Roman Empire. It includes biographical information and thematic entries on such topics as architecture, ceramics, metalwork, mosaics, painting and sculpture.
