This resource provides access to the complete historical content of the "Daily Mail" newspaper back to it's beginning in 1896, both the regular edition and the Atlantic Editions, printing on board the transatlantic cruise liners in 1923-1931. Gale-Cengage Learning has provided access to this since May 2013. The search interface is similar to other Gale products. Advanced searching includes combining multiple fields with Boolean operators, and specifying these fields to the entire document, title, author, page number, issue, day of the week, keyword, or document number. Each field can be set to a "fuzzy search" meaning that similar items will be included in the results, not just identical matches. You will also be able to limit results by categories such as advertising, features, illustrations, etc. as well as limiting by publication date. You may also browse by date, read essays on the newspaper itself, and see your past searches. Laurier Library has provided access to this resource in it's entirety since April 2016.
