Link to Resource
Launched on October 28, 2013, this resource provides access to thousands of educational audio and video programs and documentaries from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and Radio-Canada in both English and French. Content is updated weekly with no advertising.
Material is browsable via broad categories such as art, business, current events, law, education, health, history and geography, sciences, and social sciences, but the site can also be searched by simple keyword, then filtered by category, language, age appropriateness, and type (i.e. audio, channel, collection or video). The platform also provides functionality to support teaching: instructors can set up their own profile to prepare program lists for courses, or embed and share content.
Laurier Library provides access to the regular CBC content. (The News in Review and BBC Channel additions modules were cancelled as of August 2024.)
