NGC is an initiative of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) External Web Site Policy, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This site is a public resource for summaries of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. Clinical practice guidelines are statements that include recommendations intended to optimize patient care that are informed by a systematic review of evidence and an assessment of the benefits and harms of alternative care options. The site provides a basic keyword search with filters/limiters available on the results page such as publication date, population characteristics, clinical speciality, and organization. You may also browse by clinical specialty, by MeSH tag, or by organization. This is a open source collection of guidelines. Laurier Library added this to its site in August 2017.
