The Laurier Library recently launched a podcasting program designed to provide multi-campus opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to engage in digital scholarship through supported access to professional podcasting studios.
Through creativity, collaboration, and exploration, this program will enable knowledge transformation, hands-on learning, diversification of ideas and voices, supported experimentation, and intellectual, creative and professional development.
Two Studios
The program currently supports two studios:
- A studio at the Waterloo Library in partnership with WLU Press
- A studio at Brantford One Market.
These studios provide:
- equipment,
- training, and
- programming
Enhancing Expression, Elevating Voices
The studios enhance intellectual and professional expression, promote knowledge mobilization, and enable opportunities for the Laurier community to engage in public discourse.
As a medium connected to oral tradition, with a low barrier to entry, podcasting serves to elevate and amplify the voices, experiences, and perspectives of Laurier's diverse communities.
