Description
Nov 5, 2024: This issue was fixed with JAWS 2025. It works with NVDA 2024.3.1
For JAWS and NVDA screen readers, the search results in Omni may inject extra words (e.g., mark, end mark) around search keywords matched in the title. This can make it difficult to evaluate the title. We have notified the vendor.
Alternatives
A workaround for JAWS have been identified and are described in more detail.
For longer term solutions, we have reached out to the makers of JAWS and the makers of Omni.
Reason
Search keywords are tagged using an HTML tag that causes JAWS and NVDA to say mark/end mark or inhighlight/out of highlight in certain situations.
