Closure: 7th floor, Waterloo Campus Library
Published:
Beginning November 20, the Library’s seventh floor, known to many students as “Silent Seven,” will be closed permanently for Library use as it transitions to become the new home of the Faculty of Education.
The Library recognizes that Silent Seven has been a valued study space and a familiar part of the Library experience for many students that will be missed. As the use of the seventh-floor changes, the Library remains committed to creating welcoming, supportive spaces that meet the needs of students now and in the future, including quiet study.
The Library’s multi-year Space Renewal Project will create additional study spaces and renew and update key facilities like our bathrooms, flooring and furniture on Floors 3 to 6. Read more about the Library’s space project.
