An open access announcement

Laurier Library is pleased to announce two new read-and-publish agreements for Elsevier and Oxford University Press. Read-and-publish agreements leverage what is paid to access journals or “reading” to cover article processing charges (APC) or “publishing” and in doing so makes these articles open to the world.  Laurier Library is a member of the Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) which negotiates these agreements on a national level.

The agreement with Elsevier is an expansion of the previous agreement and now covers APCs for all hybrid Elsevier Journals and a small discount on gold journals. The Oxford University Press journals is the first read and publish agreement with this publisher. It also covers the APC for all hybrid journals and a small discount on gold journals.

Laurier Library now has 12 read-and-publish agreements in place.  See the APC Discounts on the Library website for a full list, including details and links to which journals are covered.
