Opening Reception: Meet the Artists of Shapes of Serenity and Shifting Energy

Join us for an opening reception of Shapes of Serenity and Vicky Talwars Shifting Energy in the Robert Langen Art Gallery.

Together artists Fatima Garzan, Kat Hendersen, and James Nye express their unique approaches to geometric abstraction in distinctive and experimental manners. Allowing viewers to think differently about how shape and form intersect.

Shifting Energy draws upon artist Vicky Talwar’s personal experience as a South Asian/Canadian and speaks to the hybridity of my cultural identity and the understanding of social displacement. This entanglement of social identity and post-colonial diasporic history invites viewers to reflect on the space between what is tangible and what is a distant memory.

Shapes of Serenity: A Journey into Geometric Abstraction will be on view on floors 4-6 from September 3 to June 20, 2025.

Shifting Energy will be on view from September 3 to November 22.
