Library Technology

The library offers a variety of technologies to assist the research process, and to make the best use of Library resources. Laurier community members will find wireless internet access, computer workstations, and printer/scanner/photocopier machines at all locations. The Waterloo Library also provides access to media viewing stations, microform viewers and scanners, and other specialized scanning equipment.

Collections stored in microform format can be accessed with either dedicated microform reader machines, or with microform scanners attached to computer workstations.

Printing, copying and scanning is available at the Ricoh multi-function units on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the library at the Waterloo campus, in the DLLC at Brantford, and in the library at Kitchener.

Adaptive and accessible technologies available in the Library for people with disabilities.

All library locations offer some computer workstations with Laurier Network login and software including Office 365 and Apps Anywhere. The Waterloo Library also offers some quick lookup Omni computers.

The Library provides equipment to for viewing video formats, and for listening to audio formats.

The Laurier community can access wireless internet by connecting to eduroam.
