Meet and Greet with the Artist

Wednesday, November 8,  4 pm to 6 pm

Since July 2021, Tracey-Mae Chambers has created over 100 installations at historical residential school sites, museums, art galleries and public spaces. These spaces often present colonial viewpoints and primarily reference the settlers who arrived and lived here, the voices of displaced Indigenous people are often excluded or missed. Through Chambers art practice she hopes to bridge the gap between settlers and the Indigenous, Métis, and Inuit peoples by creating works of art that start conversations about decolonization and reconciliation.
