Increasingly freedom of information laws are used in various forms of academic research, including the social sciences and humanities. These laws provide researchers with access to a wealth of otherwise unpublished information held by governments and other public bodies. This session will provide an overview of FOI laws and highly practical guidance using FOI laws effectively for research.
