The Medieval and Medievalism Studies Program at Wilfrid Laurier University, with support from the Dean of Arts, Dean of Music, and the Laurier Library, presents the 19th Annual Distinguished Visiting Speaker in Medieval and Medievalism Studies:
"Revelations from the Laurier Hymnal"
Dr. Alma Santosuosso, WLU Professor Emerita of Musicology
We welcome Dr. Santosuosso to share her research findings on the 15th century Latin hymnal manuscript from Laurier Archives and Special Collections' holdings. In addition to the lecture, Dan Cabena, an alumnus of Laurier's Faculty of Music, will be performing several pieces from the manuscript. The hymnal was acquired by Laurier Archives and Special Collections 15 years ago and it recently underwent conservation treatment. The manuscript will be on display at the event.
Location: Robert Langen Art Gallery (ground floor of the Laurier Library)
Doors open at 3:00pm for refreshments. Lecture begins at 4:00pm.
Registration is not required for this public lecture. Wine and cheese will be provided.
