Steps for finding sources

2) Find books

  • Start with Omni
    • you may need to search separately for different concepts
    • use filters at left: narrow by publication date, subject, language
    • check "details" in search results for specific keywords
    • Floor plans for locating books
    • Try WorldCat to identify more books

3) Find articles

Sociological Abstracts
Search inside sociology-related journals for mobility, including Theory, Culture & Society and Public Culture. Limit to peer reviewed journals.
Search inside geography-related journals for mobility, including Environment and Planning and Journal of Cultural Geography.
Academic OneFile
Search journals from a range of disciplines. Includes Mobility in History and Transfers. Limit to peer reviewed journals.
Google Scholar
Use to discover who has cited a specific book or article. Connecting to Library resources using Google Scholar (video: 2:02)
