LGBTQ+ History Month

Throughout the month of October we celebrate LGBTQ+ History month.

The library wants to celebrate the history of the LGBTTQQIAAP (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, ally, pansexual) community by highlighting some of the important and varied resources that you can find at the Wilfrid Laurier Library. The resources highlighted here touch on the experience of the LGBTQ+ community in Canada, the United States and across the globe.

Reserves: Fall/Winter Term

Faculty members: submit your readings now for Fall/Winter 2019/2020 term. When submitting readings, it is a good idea to tag them by week so that the reserve staff are able to prioritize requests and ensure that materials will be ready for your students at the beginning of the term.

Notice of Elsevier data breach

Elsevier, one of the largest academic publishers in the world, publicly acknowledged a server misconfiguration exposing personal information online. Elsevier is continuing their investigation into the matter and will communicate directly with their users on what steps to take.

Library Closed St. Patrick’s Day Weekend

The Waterloo Campus Library will be closing on both Saturday March 16th and Sunday March 17th. This decision is in line with other Laurier campus buildings closures. Building hours at other campus Libraries will be unaffected by this change.

The Library will be open regular operating hours on Friday, March 15 until close at 12:00 am midnight and will reopen on Monday March 18th at 8:15am.

February is Black History Month

Brantford Public Library closed Monday November 5th

The Brantford Public Library will be closed on Monday, November 5th, 2018 for a Staff Development Day.

Laurier's online resource, course guides, video tutorials, and online chat help will still be available. The study space and group study room, along with in-person librarian help will still be available on the lower floor of Grand River Hall.

Library Research Help Services coming to Lazaridis Hall
