Dear Laurier Community,
The Laurier Library is committed to ensuring success of our faculty, students and staff. Our priority is to support faculty and students as they work to complete the term and at the same time providing a safe environment for everyone. Consequently, all Laurier Library facilities, including Waterloo campus Library, Brantford Digital Library and Learning Commons (DLLC) and Faculty of Social Work Library (Kitchener) are closed effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020. We will re-assess the situation after April 5, 2020 and will communicate with you regarding our next steps.
The Library will focus on engaging and supporting our users online and will move to predominantly online modes of service and resource delivery. We will support the research mission of the university through digital services and resources. During this period of closure, all online resources and services will be accessible, including:
- A wide range of electronic collections (academic databases, electronic books, newarticles, online videos)
- For help finding online resources, contact the librarian for your subject area
- Omni search tool
- Ares (for course readings and reserves)
- Ask Us online help services
- Course help pages
- Subject research guides, and
- Library help videos
Subject Librarians will be available to provide assistance for research help to students (find your Librarian by subject).
In addition, all loaned materials will have their due dates extended accordingly and no fines will be charged for overdue materials. More updates will be provided to the Laurier community in the days ahead.
