Kris has been happily teaching and practicing mantra meditation for over 19 years. He grew up in a small town in rural Ontario and studied music at Cambrian College in Sudbury. Feeling unsatisfied with life in general he began a quest to find deeper meaning and purpose. As a result he traveled throughout Canada, Mexico, and the United States. To his great benefit he ended up in Toronto and attended a lecture by yoga master Balakhilya das about the real meaning of yoga. Deeply inspired, he took up the practice of meditation. He now lives in Waterloo Ontario and enjoys practicing Kirtan and teaching spiritual knowledge.
Vani was taught how to meditate over 20 years ago in Toronto and quickly discovered the wonderful benefits it has to offer. She moved to Kitchener Waterloo 12 years ago with her husband Kris and started a meditation centre. She enjoys teaching and meditating with all the wonderful people and friends she has met since moving to Kitchener-Waterloo. She also enjoys working with the many people in her community who aim to make the world a better place by serving and helping others. Her warm personality and giving nature attract many people to the yoga lifestyle.
