New Online Research Workshops for Grad Students

As part of the ASPIRE program, the Library offers in-person research workshops to help graduate students succeed in their coursework, theses, and research publication.

This fall, the Library is offering online versions of five of these workshops to provide better options and more flexibility for students:

  • Accessing Statistics Canada Data
  • Citing Insights: Tools to Help You Cite
  • Developing a Research Question
  • Planning a Literature Review
  • Searching for Scholarly Literature

Workshops are located within a MyLearningSpace course called Library Research Workshops. Workshops are self-paced, and each one contains a mix of video, text, and hands-on activities, with a completion certificate to demonstrate ASPIRE competencies.

These workshops are available through self-registration in MyLearningSpace. Sign into MyLearningSpace, then click on Self Registration in the top navigation bar, and choose Library Research Workshops from the list of course options.
