Faculty: nominate your student for the Library Undergraduate Research Award

The Library will once again be offering awards to recognize undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional use of library resources as part of their regular coursework. Four awards are available:

  • Two awards, first and second place, are available to any first or second year student
  • Two awards, first and second place, are available to any student in either their third or fourth year of study
  • Each first place award will be in the amount of $350, and each second place award is $150

Academic work must have been completed the calendar year prior to nomination, and can use materials from any library. For example, to be considered for the 2017 award, only work submitted in 2016 will be considered; students who have already graduated still qualify. After the deadline, nominators will be contacted to supply supporting materials including the student’s coursework.

We invite Laurier faculty to nominate any student by February 28, 2017, here.

Each Laurier faculty member is welcome to nominate up to four undergraduates, two for the Junior award and two for the Senior award.

Please direct your questions about this award program to Anne Kelly (akelly@wlu.ca), ext. 3303.
