Photocopying is currently unavailable in the Waterloo campus Library. We are working with our campus partners to restore this functionality as soon as possible. Until we can do so, please consider one of the following options:
The Tri-University Group of Libraries (TUG) is continuing its collaborative collection approach by examining older, low-use and widely available books.
Working with Sustainable Collection Services (SCS) to analyze the data and inform our decisions, the project is focused on identifying and removing duplicate copies from the universities’ collections. This optimization is ensuring that a copy remains in the collections and thus available for use.
The first phase of the renovations to Laurier’s Waterloo campus Library has now been completed.
This phase of the project involved the removal of the elevated concrete podium along the east side of the Library, which has been closed in recent years due to its deteriorated structural condition.
In the upcoming second phase, a new, universally accessible, entrance to the building will be constructed, with work scheduled to be completed by the end of the summer.
Laurier Library locations will be closed Saturday through Monday of the Victoria Day long weekend, reopening Tuesday morning.
This applies the Waterloo Campus Library, the Social Work Library, and the Brantford Digital Library and Learning Commons. (The Brantford Public Library will be open Saturday and Sunday, closed Monday.)
For complete information on our hours of operation, visit http://library.wlu.ca/about/hours.
We hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday!
Demolition of the elevated concrete podium along the east side of the Library commenced Tuesday, May 6 and will last for approximately two weeks.
During this initial demolition phase of the construction, it will be very noisy both inside and outside of the Library building. We regret this inconvenience, but note this short term disruption is unavoidable in making these necessary improvements to the Library facilities, which will address both safety and accessibility issues.

The Laurier Library is putting together a new master space plan that will involve a holistic review of our Waterloo campus Library building in preparation for future changes to the space.
