Archives welcomes personal collection of noted alumnus

The Laurier Archives is happy to announce that Waterloo College alumnus Ward Kaiser (’45) has donated materials from his personal collection for archival preservation and research.

Ward Kaiser is a publisher, author, pastor, and activist. The breadth and impact of his diverse work led to him being named recipient of the 1968 Waterloo Lutheran University Alumnus of the Year award. Kaiser is perhaps best known in the map publishing realm as he introduced the provocative Peters projection map to North America.

The majority of the material in the Ward Kaiser fonds is related to the Peters projection. The Laurier Archives has processed the material and it is now available to researchers.
