Happy Pride!

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the historic Stonewall riots. On June 28th 1969, at the Stonewall Inn in New York City, after a police raid, the LGBTQ+ community rose up and demanded their rights be recognized. This is regarded as the start of the gay rights movement and gave birth to the contemporary LGBTQ+ rights movement.

The Laurier Library wants to celebrate this historic milestone with all members of the LGBTQ+ community – both at Laurier and beyond - by wishing everyone a very happy pride!

Library teaming up with Maker Club for fun and interactive event

As part of the Library’s Transform Laurier Library review, we will be holding an event to talk with students about their thoughts, dreams, and concerns for an improved library for our campus community. Our partners, the Laurier Maker Club, will be providing a fun and interactive activity with a chance to learn a new skill and take home some swag.

While you are there, we invite all students to stop by and take a brief survey about the Library or just chat.
