Laurier Library's main floor integrates library information services, the Library Digital Studio, an ITS help desk, and some tutoring services into an information commons. Services and facilities provide students with learning tools, expert assistance, and resources required for group and individual educational projects and activities. Group study spaces are featured on this and other floors.
In the information commons, students will find electronic and print information resources, along with an information desk and reference librarians for research consultation and assistance. Computer workstations offer an array of software applications and multimedia devices for the production of projects, papers, presentations, or other course work and assignments. IT assistance is also available for computing questions or problems. The Writing Centre offers tutoring, and the Academic Advisor's Office offers pertinent resources and services.
The Laurier Information Commons is a cooperative project amongst staff of the Library, Physical Plant and Planning (PP&P), and the office of the Vice-President: Academic.
